Daddy Yankee: En Vivo en Houston

Daddy Yankee: En Vivo en Houston

dfgsdgfs

Earlier this week Daddy Yankee came to Texas to perform in three cities; Dallas, Houston, and Odessa. On Thursday, May 10 Daddy Yankee came to my Houston to perform at the Arena Theater. We got these tickets to his concert when they first came on sale back in February and they have been burning a hole in my desk. Day past day; week past week; until finally the day arrived.

When we got there we got our drinks and a snack, popcorn, and located our seats; section 5 row H seats 1 and 2. They were great seats. Really close to the stage.  We sat down and chilled waiting for Daddy Yankee to come out. We got at the Arena around 7:30 pm so we had time to chill and look at all the other people sit in the wrong seats and have to move. 8 pm came and went and the theater was starting to fill up. 9 pm cam3 and we were getting restless. I know performers usually don’t start when they say they are but I mean come on. It takes you forever to come back to Houston and then you take your sweet ass time to get out on stage. Come on! But ok. We wait. What else can we do. I wait. Anxious to see him on stage in front of me. I know that I saw him last year in San Antonio for the People en Espanol Festival they had out there. Man that performance was amazing. He tore up the stage! Like around 9:30 or so, the security staff of the Arena Theatre starts bulking up. And the aisle on the other side of us is where he is going to come down from to get on stage. The DJ stops playing music. So everyone jumps up and I rush to the aisle and we are literally standing there for like 30 minutes. So the DJ starts up again. After awhile the dancers come out and set up on stage. Finally some movement from the holding room around 10 pm. The door finally opens up and he comes walking down the aisle surrounded by security. Yes! Finally! Let the show begin!

He began his show with his popular hit “Lovumba” and illuminated the stage. Everyone was dancing and singing to every song he performed. Daddy Yankee performed 19 of his popular hits. From “Pasalera” to “Lo Que Paso Paso“. Even going back to his first chart topper “Gasolina“. A song that drove the crowd crazy. I absolutely love that song!

He freestyled a bit and was amazing. The whole concert was amazing! Awesome! We never sat down. I’ve been to two of Daddy Yankee’s concerts now, including this one, and both times he killed it! He’s the best hands down. No question, negative comments, or concerns. Daddy Yankee is gold! The concert was badass! I was on a Daddy Yankee high for days. Song after song after song Daddy Yankee killed it! All my worries and problems went away when he stepped on stage.

If you could not get your ass down to the Arena Theater to see Daddy Yankee don’t worry I got you. Click on the links or go to my YouTube page to watch clips of his performance in Houston on Thursday, May 9th.
