Wisin sin Yandel: Rumores?
And the rumor mill keeps on churning. The latest victims? Reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel. Last night Yandel accompanied Don Omar on stage yesterday along with Daddy Yankee and Arcangel in Puerto Rico for his “Hecho en Puerto Rico” concert. During Don Omar’s performance he wished the reggaetonero Yandel good luck on his career as a soloist stating,
Sabemos pedir perdón por el bien del género y de nuestra isla. Bienvenido a tu nueva faceta como solista, hermano.
Jennifer Nieman, their PR rep, stated quote “They remain solid as a duo.”
Siguen estando sólidos como dúo.
And continued, “I do not personally know Don Omar and I don’t know why he said that, I don’t know what he was thinking in that moment. I have never spoken with him. What he said was not planned.”
No conozco a Don Omar y no sé por qué él dijo eso, no sé qué estaba pensando en ese momento. Nunca he hablado con el señor. Lo que dijo no fue nada planificado.
Wisin y Yandel have gone solo in songs in the past. Between the years 2004 and 2007 Wisin y Yandel each released a solo album then later released an album together. But WY have also collaborated together and separate with artists like Daddy Yankee, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown, Enrique Iglesias, and 50 Cent among others. They have done it in the past and they are doing it now. Soloing and soloing with a different artist has been done before by different artists in every genre. Yandel featured without Wisin in “Yo Soy De Aqui” along with Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, and Arcangel. Wisin featured without Yandel in the remix version of Tito El Bambino‘s “Tu Olor“.
Wisin y Yandel’s PR emphisized, “They have not seperated, nothing has changed. They have countless concerts, commitments, they continue being partners. There are zero differences from yesterday or from two days ago. They are the same duo from always. Nothing has happened.”
No están separados, no ha cambiado nada. Ellos tienen un sinnúmero de conciertos, compromisos, siguen siendo un dúo. Hay cero diferencias de ayer, de anteayer. Son el mismo dúo de siempre, no ha pasado nada.
This is not the first time el duo historia Wisin y Yandel have been on “seperation” part of the rumor mill. Rumors almost every year for the past 5 years have spread that the Lideres have gone their separate ways. And if anyone is keeping count Wisin, Juan Luis Morera Luna, y Yandel. Llandel Veguilla Malave, have separated twice this year. And Wisin died in a horrific car crash earlier this week. Reps of the singers quickly confirmed that Wisin was indeed alive and well.
I personally hope they do not break up. They are my favorite artist! They still have a lot of music to share with the world and it will truly be a sad sad day when they do decide to separate and go their separate ways or stop altogether. Plus, I have a date with them on September in San Antonio for People En Espanol.
